Its that time of year again and the annual Walking Weekend held in Mangawhai is in full swing! As usual the guides have put together a varied programme with something for everyone. After many requests the Brynderwyn Walkway has been brought back on to the programme for the Thursday trampers. We look forward to welcoming tramping groups that can remain in Mangawhai for the whole weekend. Extending the programme to four days last year proved so successful we are delighted to offer this again. With just one day left to enjoy the scenic beauty and artistic delights here’s hoping the weather behaves itself so the many participants in this years walk can round their weekend off on a pleasant note! *
To start the year off, Mangawhai Artist Association is holding their Art Trail in conjunction with Walking Weekend from 10am to 4pm and is also a free event so be on the lookout for the art trail signs dotted around Mangawhai! All visitors are welcome to browse, buy or commission artworks at 15 locations featuring nearly 50 artists all in Mangawhai. Maps, Brochures and more details are available at the Smashed Pipi Gallery, Mangawhai Info Centre and local cafe’s around Mangawhai. *
